<< Beer By my birth, my geographical affiliation would have naturally directed me towards the passion of the wines of Loires, and particularly the Muscadet and the other famous wines of Nantes' area. Maybe by thirst for exoticism, or taste for the differences, anyway... the beer in all its gastronomical sens, finally imposed itself in front of me like a true blessed gods nectar. Because it is really in beer that we can find all savours of our mother
earth can give us, it is in beer that after a hard day we can cheer up
ourselves, it is with beer that we can appreciate the real friendship,
and it is also with beer that we can appreciate a good lunch. Taste an British stout with its chocolate flavors, a Cszech pils with its citrus fruits and fresh grass scents, a sweety porter which run into your throat, a Trappist deeply hopped which lasts one evening, an acidulous lambic or white spiced beer, there are as many possibilities as it is easy to assimilate the brewer has a talented alchemist, for whom the search of the philosopher stone passes in the second plan, far behind the subtle mixture of malts, hops, yeasts, and even of water. When we start to discover this precious beverage, we easily can go in crusade. For me, the revelation could be named as "Rodenbach" or "Carolus d'Or"... which after more than 15 year brought me to taste more than 1000 savours, from all the continents, ... from the abbey of Orval, to Xingu, black beer from Brazil, while going through some curiosities such as Scotish Fraoch, or the Nantes'KKO, and that finally naturally brings me towards a new passion: homebrewing.
